12 black and white silver gelatin fiber prints made from original Eustachy Kossakowski’s negatives

Price - 12 prints framed: PLN 15,000

The series contains a selection of photographs documenting Polish heavy industry of the 1950s and 1960s, one of the photographer’s most favorite subjects. In the communist epoch, Kossakowski received many awards for these photographs – mainly thanks to their singular artistic qualities: the combination of monumentalization and estheticization of the industrial landscape with distance and perversity. Kossakowski’s peculiar usage of black humor and the ability to surprise the audience constitute the specific beauty of these images.
